Present Tense Active-Passive: वर्तमान काल के सभी वाक्यों को Active से Passive में बदलने के नियम।
🔹 General Rules for Present Tense Passive
- 1. Object → Subject: Active का Object Passive का Subject बनता है।
- 2. Verb Change: Tense के अनुसार 'be' form + V3 (Past Participle)।
- 3. Subject → Object: Active का Subject 'by' के साथ Passive में आता है (अनावश्यक हो तो हटा सकते हैं)।
- 4. Tense unchanged: Tense नहीं बदलता, केवल Verb Form बदलता है।
- 5. Negatives/Interrogatives: Helping Verb और 'not' का स्थान Passive में भी वही रहता है।
📚 Present Tense Passive: Object → Subject, Verb → be + V3, Subject → by + Agent – सभी Tenses में यही नियम लागू होता है।
Present Indefinite Passive: Object + is/am/are + V3 + by + Subject
🔹 Affirmative (सकारात्मक) – Active to Passive
I eat an apple.
Passive: सेब मुझसे खाया जाता है।
An apple is eaten by me.
2. Active: वह किताब पढ़ता है।
He reads a book.
Passive: किताब उससे पढ़ी जाती है।
A book is read by him.
3. Active: हम गाना गाते हैं।
We sing a song.
Passive: गाना हमसे गाया जाता है।
A song is sung by us.
4. Active: तुम पानी पीते हो।
You drink water.
Passive: पानी तुमसे पिया जाता है।
Water is drunk by you.
5. Active: वे खाना खाते हैं।
They eat food.
Passive: खाना उनसे खाया जाता है।
Food is eaten by them.
🔹 Negative (नकारात्मक) – Active to Passive
I do not eat an apple.
Passive: सेब मुझसे नहीं खाया जाता है।
An apple is not eaten by me.
2. Active: वह किताब नहीं पढ़ता है।
He does not read a book.
Passive: किताब उससे नहीं पढ़ी जाती है।
A book is not read by him.
3. Active: हम गाना नहीं गाते हैं।
We do not sing a song.
Passive: गाना हमसे नहीं गाया जाता है।
A song is not sung by us.

🟢 Present Indefinite Passive: is/am/are + V3 – Affirmative, Negative, Interrogative, Interrogative-Negative सभी में यही नियम – 'जाता है', 'जाती है', 'जाते हैं' → is/am/are + V3.
Present Continuous Passive: Object + is/am/are + being + V3 + by + Subject
🔹 Affirmative (सकारात्मक)
I am eating an apple.
Passive: सेब मुझसे खाया जा रहा है।
An apple is being eaten by me.
2. Active: वह किताब पढ़ रहा है।
He is reading a book.
Passive: किताब उससे पढ़ी जा रही है।
A book is being read by him.
3. Active: हम गाना गा रहे हैं।
We are singing a song.
Passive: गाना हमसे गाया जा रहा है।
A song is being sung by us.
4. Active: तुम पानी पी रहे हो।
You are drinking water.
Passive: पानी तुमसे पिया जा रहा है।
Water is being drunk by you.
5. Active: वे खाना खा रहे हैं।
They are eating food.
Passive: खाना उनसे खाया जा रहा है।
Food is being eaten by them.
🔹 Negative (नकारात्मक)
I am not eating an apple.
Passive: सेब मुझसे नहीं खाया जा रहा है।
An apple is not being eaten by me.
2. Active: वह किताब नहीं पढ़ रहा है।
He is not reading a book.
Passive: किताब उससे नहीं पढ़ी जा रही है।
A book is not being read by him.

🔵 Present Continuous Passive: is/am/are + being + V3 – 'जा रहा है', 'जा रही है', 'जा रहे हैं' → is/am/are + being + V3.
Present Perfect Passive: Object + has/have + been + V3 + by + Subject
🔹 Affirmative (सकारात्मक)
I have eaten an apple.
Passive: सेब मुझसे खाया गया है।
An apple has been eaten by me.
2. Active: उसने किताब पढ़ी है।
He has read a book.
Passive: किताब उससे पढ़ी गई है।
A book has been read by him.
3. Active: हमने गाना गाया है।
We have sung a song.
Passive: गाना हमसे गाया गया है।
A song has been sung by us.
4. Active: तुमने पानी पिया है।
You have drunk water.
Passive: पानी तुमसे पिया गया है।
Water has been drunk by you.
5. Active: उन्होंने खाना खाया है।
They have eaten food.
Passive: खाना उनसे खाया गया है।

🔹 Negative & Interrogative
I have not eaten an apple.
Passive: सेब मुझसे नहीं खाया गया है।
An apple has not been eaten by me.
2. Active (Int): क्या मैंने सेब खाया है?
Have I eaten an apple?
Passive: क्या सेब मुझसे खाया गया है?
Has an apple been eaten by me?
3. Active (Int-Neg): क्या मैंने सेब नहीं खाया है?
Have I not eaten an apple?
Passive: क्या सेब मुझसे नहीं खाया गया है?
Has an apple not been eaten by me?
🟣 Present Perfect Passive: has/have + been + V3 – 'गया है', 'गई है', 'गए हैं' → has/have + been + V3.
Present Perfect Continuous Passive: यह अत्यंत दुर्लभ और अप्राकृतिक है – has/have been + being + V3 – लेकिन आमतौर पर इसका Passive नहीं बनाया जाता।
⚠️ Present Perfect Continuous Passive: अत्यंत दुर्लभ – हमेशा Active Voice का ही प्रयोग करें – Passive से बचें।
I have been eating an apple for 5 minutes.
Passive (Avoid): सेब मुझसे 5 मिनट से खाया जा रहा है।
An apple has been being eaten by me for 5 minutes. (Unnatural)
✅ Better to use Active Voice or rephrase.
📘 Rule: Present Perfect Continuous का Passive न बनाएं – यह अप्राकृतिक है। Active Voice का ही प्रयोग करें।
Modals + Present Passive: Subject + Modal + be + V3 + by + Agent
🔹 Examples – Hindi → English Passive
I can do this. → This can be done by me.
2. (Could) वह यह कर सकता है। → यह उससे किया जा सकता है।
He can do this. → This can be done by him.
3. (May) तुम यह कर सकते हो। → यह तुमसे किया जा सकता है।
You may do this. → This may be done by you.
4. (Should) तुम्हें यह करना चाहिए। → यह तुमसे किया जाना चाहिए।
You should do this. → This should be done by you.
5. (Must) उसे यह करना चाहिए। → यह उससे किया जाना चाहिए।
He must do this. → This must be done by him.
6. (Ought to) हमें यह करना चाहिए। → यह हमसे किया जाना चाहिए।
We ought to do this. → This ought to be done by us.
7. (Might) वह यह कर सकता है (शायद)। → यह उससे किया जा सकता है (शायद)।
He might do this. → This might be done by him.
⚡ Modals Passive (Present): Modal + be + V3 – 'किया जा सकता है', 'किया जाना चाहिए' – सभी Modals के साथ Passive बनता है।
🔹 Verbs with Two Objects (दो Objects)
I give him a book.
Passive 1: उसे मुझसे एक किताब दी जाती है।
He is given a book by me.
Passive 2: एक किताब मुझसे उसे दी जाती है।
A book is given to him by me.
The teacher teaches the students a lesson.
Passive 1: छात्रों को शिक्षक द्वारा एक पाठ पढ़ाया जाता है।
The students are taught a lesson by the teacher.
Passive 2: एक पाठ शिक्षक द्वारा छात्रों को पढ़ाया जाता है।
A lesson is taught to the students by the teacher.
🔹 Imperative-like (आज्ञावाचक) – Let + Object + be + V3
Open the door. → Let the door be opened.
2. यह काम करो। → यह काम किया जाए।
Do this work. → Let this work be done.
3. किताब मत खोलो। → किताब न खोली जाए।
Don't open the book. → Let the book not be opened.
🌟 Special Cases: Two Objects → 2 Passive Structures, Imperative → Let + Object + be + V3 – Present Tense में भी यही नियम लागू होते हैं।
