📘 Introduction: Conjunctions and Their Kinds & Uses
Conjunction (समुच्चयबोधक) वह शब्द है जो दो शब्दों, वाक्यांशों, या वाक्यों को आपस में जोड़ता है। Conjunctions वाक्य को सुगठित (cohesive) और स्पष्ट बनाते हैं। अंग्रेज़ी में Conjunctions को तीन मुख्य प्रकारों में बाँटा गया है: Coordinating, Subordinating, और Correlative।
📌 Quick Overview of Conjunction Types
- 🔹 Coordinating Conjunctions: FANBOYS – For, And, Nor, But, Or, Yet, So (equal elements)
- 🔹 Subordinating Conjunctions: समय, कारण, शर्त, उद्देश्य, विरोध, रीति, स्थान – because, although, when, if, since, while, unless, etc.
- 🔹 Correlative Conjunctions: जोड़े में आने वाले – both...and, either...or, neither...nor, not only...but also, whether...or, such...that, etc.
- 🔹 Important Rules: Parallelism, Comma usage (Oxford comma), Semicolon with conjunctive adverbs, Subject-Verb agreement with correlatives
- 🔹 Common Errors: because/since/as, although/though, unless/if...not, so...that, such...that, etc.
